Wedding FAQ

How many wedding do you do a year?

We are a boutique  wedding and portrait studio who believe in quality over quantity. We only take a limited number of weddings and portrait sessions per year from couple whom are a great fit for us and we for them. This insure each of our clients personal attention to detail from start to finish of the creative process.

If we commission your studio to do our wedding, who will be the wedding photographer?

David & Marelly will be your wedding photographers.  We are a team and all our Signature Collections include both of us.

How many images do you end up with for most weddings?

We average somewhere between 50-70 images per hour, which means is more than a photo per minute! You can rest easy knowing your event will be very well documented.

Do we get the High-resolution files?

Yes, the high res digital files on a disc are available in all our wedding Collections and are delivered with your album.

Are the photos all edited?

Yes, all photographs given to you will be edited and each individual photo will be color corrected and ready for print.

How long does it takes to receive my prints and album?

We process orders on a first-come, first-serve basis. Generally you should allow 3 to 5 weeks for all prints orders for editing/printing/delivery time. Also, note that any order received after November 15th is not guaranteed to be completed in time for Christmas. Each images that makes it to our Wedding Art Books are individually fine tuned as well as retouched and artistically enhanced. All our albums are custom designed by us and hand crafted by the best album companies in the world and take approximately 4 to 8 months to complete

Do you have insurance?

Yes.

Do you belong to any professional organization?

Yes, we are member of several carefully chosen national and international professional organizations. We are proud members of the oldest  and most prestigious professional photographers organization, Professional Photographers of America (PPA). We are also members of  the Digital Wedding Forum (DWF), theInternational Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP) and Wedding & Portraits Photographers International (WPPI).

Where do you live? Do you travel?

Currently we are located  at San Juan, Puerto Rico but soon  we will inaugurate our South Florida studio. We are available to travel worldwide to capture your wedding.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Top of the line professional Nikon equipment and extensive backups.

How long have you being in business? How many weddings have you photographed? How do we know you are for real?

I have been a professional photographers since 1990 and opened our wedding studio in 2005. We have shot well over 300 weddings.

Can you hold a date for me?

A signed contract and a retainer are required to book and hold a date. We accept bookings on a first come/first served basis

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, we can work a payment plan for you. A booking fee/retainer of $1,000 is due to reserve your date. Balance is due 14 days before your wedding. In some instance we can work a more flexible payment plan so contact us if you can benefit from this. For portrait sessions, full payment for the session is required to book your date and time. Both, the wedding retainer and session fees are non-refundable.

I have to cancel my wedding, can I have my retainer back?

The retainer fee and all monies paid up to the wedding day are non-refundable. Once you book the date we do turn down any other commissions for the same date.

What if you, like, die?

If David dies we can guarantee he will NOT be at your wedding. however, our studio will still supply you with coverage by one of our  studio shooter. David is also a member of many national and local organizations and networking groups upon which we could call to find you a replacement photographer.

If we decide to commission David Medina Photography for our wedding, when should we book?

ASAP! Since we cannot “hold” dates or “pencil you in”, dates are booked when…well, when they’re booked. Keep in mind that we only accept a limited number of wedding each years and our calendar fill up fast.

How and where do I a book my date?

The booking process is done securely online and all payments can be made online using any major credit card or paypal account. You can also make payments using personal checks or money orders.

Bookings could be gone in a flash

Due to a demanding schedule throughout the year, we are able to accept only a limited number of weddings and portrait commissions. So give us a call, email us or fill our inquiry form today. Copyright Notice

Please note that is illegal to scan prints, right-click or screen capture online images on any of our websites, proofing system, blog, make copies from prints, sell or alter in anyway images received on a disc, online transfer or printed. You (the client only) can use them in your website and/or facebook, blog as long as you do not eliminate our logo from the photo. All images in indefinitely remain under copyright of David Medina Photography unless otherwise noted under contractual agreement.
